Chord progressions
A chord progression is a sequence of chords played in order. Most songs are built from a handful of them. The Progressions tab collects common progressions so you can hear them, move them to any key, and reuse them.
What a progression is, and why it helps
A progression is a set of chords that sound good one after another, written as roman numerals such as I V vi IV so it works in any key. Learning a few common ones gives you ready-made harmony to write over, and a way to understand how songs move from one chord to the next.
The progressions list
Pick a root note and choose major or minor at the top. The list shows common progressions for that key. Each row shows the roman-numeral pattern and the actual chords as chips. Tap a chip to hear one chord, or the play button to hear the whole sequence. The arrow opens the progression in detail.
The progression detail
The detail screen lists each chord of the progression as a row, with its roman numeral, a small piano voicing, and playback. The picker at the top transposes the whole progression to any root at once. Tap a chord to open its full chord screen, or use its menu to copy, favourite, or export it. The button at the bottom plays the progression from start to finish.
